
LUBBOCK, TX — A tragic crash on 50th Street has claimed the life of a 74-year-old woman, Vicki Oglesby, on Wednesday afternoon, December 11. The Lubbock Police Department responded to the incident, which occurred around 1:39 p.m. in the 1700 block of 50th Street.
Authorities reported that Oglesby had been driving an SUV and was exiting a parking lot on the east side of the 5000 block of Avenue Q. For reasons still under investigation, the SUV crossed all lanes of traffic, left the roadway, and struck a light pole and a parked car before coming to rest.
