MCLEAN, VA – Law enforcement officials responded to a security incident outside the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) headquarters on Monday, where an armed suspect was reported near the Route 123 entrance gate.
According to authorities, the suspect was observed sitting on a bench near the facility while in possession of a firearm.
In response to the potential threat, tactical units, including a SWAT team, were deployed to the scene and quickly engaged the individual at gunpoint.
As of now, officials have not released further details regarding the suspect’s identity, motive, or whether any shots were fired.
