Residents of south Columbus are reeling after a tragic triple homicide over the weekend left three women dead, prompting ongoing police investigations. Columbus police identified the victims as 34-year-old Sierra Muse, 49-year-old Dawn Clover, and 36-year-old Tiffany Parrish. The bodies were discovered Saturday afternoon inside a home on the 1300 block of South Ohio Avenue.
Authorities were alerted when a friend of the victims visited the house around 4 p.m. and found the women deceased. Police responded quickly and launched an investigation, but as of Monday, no suspects had been identified. The home remained sealed off as detectives continued to monitor the area and collect evidence.
Long-time residents, like Wendell Hancock, expressed shock and sorrow over the killings. Hancock, who has seen improvements in the neighborhood in recent years, noted that the home where the bodies were found had long been a concern. He mentioned frequent traffic at the property and even raised the issue at a city council meeting, urging action to address the ongoing disturbances.
The tragic discovery comes just days after another deadly incident occurred less than a mile away. On Tuesday, 45-year-old Darrall Hambrick was fatally shot in a separate incident. Police charged 39-year-old Haikiem Graham with his murder. While some residents fear a possible connection between the two events, Columbus police have stated it is too early to determine if the homicides are linked to other crimes in the area.
The recent violence has left the community deeply unsettled. Many residents are reluctant to speak publicly, fearing for their safety. Hancock voiced concern not just for himself but for his family, hoping the tragedy will spur efforts to address crime and ensure neighborhood safety.
The Columbus Police Department continues to follow leads and urges anyone with information to come forward. The deaths of Sierra Muse, Dawn Clover, and Tiffany Parrish have devastated their families and shaken the community. As detectives work to bring justice, residents remain hopeful that the investigation will yield answers and bring much-needed peace to their neighborhood.
