MILWAUKEE, WI – A tragic shooting on Milwaukee’s northwest side claimed the life of a 6-year-old child Tuesday night, just two days before his seventh birthday, according to authorities.
Milwaukee Police responded to reports of gunfire around 9:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of North 51st Boulevard, an area near the Academy of Excellence – North Campus and surrounded by residential homes.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the young victim, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police have not yet released details on the circumstances leading to the shooting, and the investigation remains active.
