The crash involved a 2020 GMC Acadia, driven by 30-year-old Jaqua Blueitt of Byhalia, Mississippi, and a 2015 Ford F-150 carrying multiple occupants. According to Sheriff Kenny Dickerson, the GMC Acadia was being pursued by Byhalia Police when it collided with the Ford F-150 at the intersection.
Blueitt, the driver of the GMC Acadia, died at the scene. In the Ford F-150, 63-year-old Michael Crutcher of Collierville, Tennessee, was killed, while the driver and another passenger sustained critical injuries. They were transported to Regional One Health in Memphis for emergency treatment.
