
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) has launched a homicide investigation after three individuals were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds early Tuesday morning.
According to LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis, officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Griffiths Avenue shortly before 5 a.m. on April 8 in response to a reported shooting.
Upon entering the residence, police discovered the bodies of two adult males—identified as Michael and DJ Clark—and an adult female, Mallory Cox.
All three victims had sustained gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
At this time, investigators are working to determine the events leading up to the fatal shooting.
The motive remains unknown, and no suspects have been identified.
Detectives are urging anyone who may have been in the area during the early morning hours—particularly those who may have witnessed suspicious activity or have relevant surveillance footage or cell phone recordings—to come forward.
