
BAXTER COUNTY, AR – A tragic single-vehicle accident on U.S. Route 62 claimed the life of 70-year-old Lorraine Kremm of Gassville on Friday morning, December 13. According to the Arkansas State Police crash report, the fatal incident occurred around 9:25 a.m.
Kremm was driving a 2015 Kia westbound on U.S. 62 when her vehicle veered off the roadway to the left. It struck a culvert before coming to a stop in the eastbound lanes of the highway. The crash left significant damage to the vehicle and inflicted severe injuries on the driver.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported Kremm to Baxter County Medical Center in Mountain Home. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The Arkansas State Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. As of now, authorities have not disclosed whether weather, road conditions, or a potential medical event contributed to the tragic accident.
