
Detectives in Harford County are investigating a tragic shooting that left one man dead and another injured early Sunday morning in Aberdeen. The incident occurred on January 5, 2025, at approximately 12:34 a.m. in the 1300 block of N Sewards Court.
Deputies from the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire at the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The second victim, identified as 18-year-old Kylonne Taylor of Aberdeen, was found in the basement of the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save his life, Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation has been taken over by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. Forensic teams also responded to the location to collect and preserve physical evidence. While the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, detectives believe this was not a random act of violence.
