According to the Prichard Police Department (PPD) and the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), officers arrived at the scene to find Jymatric Pickens deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. The incident reportedly began when Pickens arrived at his mother’s home and allegedly began threatening and physically assaulting her.
During the altercation, Pickens’ younger brother intervened, firing several shots at Pickens and striking him multiple times. Pickens was pronounced dead at the scene.
