Authorities identified the victim as Justin Netherland, the sole occupant of a 1996 Buick Centra involved in the crash. According to preliminary reports, Netherland was traveling southbound on Country Club Road when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the east side of the roadway. The car struck a utility pole, continued through a ditch, and ultimately collided with a tree.
Emergency responders, including deputies and paramedics, arrived swiftly but were unable to save Netherland. The Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office pronounced him dead at the scene. Officials attributed his death to the severe injuries sustained in the collision.

Investigators are examining potential contributing factors, including speed, road conditions, and mechanical issues, to piece together what caused Netherland to lose control of his vehicle.
