A Lafayette man was killed in a Thursday night shooting, according to the Lafayette Police Department.
The victim has been identified as Joseph Bargeman Jr., 24, of Lafayette.
Police responded to the 800 block of MLK Jr. Dr. at 11:25 p.m. in reference to a shooting incident in progress. Upon arrival, LPD stated, officers located Bargeman deceased as a result of apparent gunshot wounds.
A crime scene was established and LPD Investigators were called out to the scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
