
Perry County Sheriff Nick Weems has confirmed that Anthony Boberg has been charged with criminal homicide in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred over the weekend.
Boberg is currently being held without bond at the Perry County Jail as the investigation continues.
According to Sheriff Weems, the incident took place on Meditation Lane, in the southern portion of Perry County.
The fatal shooting stemmed from a dispute between neighbors regarding dogs, ultimately resulting in the death of a 45-year-old male.
Following the incident, Sheriff Weems contacted the District Attorney’s Office and requested the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) to lead the inquiry into the shooting.
Perry County Sheriff’s Deputies took Boberg into custody at the scene without further incident.
At this time, authorities have not released the name of the victim, and further details remain limited due to the ongoing investigation.
Boberg’s booking information confirms that he has been formally charged with criminal homicide.
No bond has been set for his release.
