The crash occurred at the intersection of Ft. Loramie Swanders and Kuther roads, highlighting the risks at rural crossroads.

The driver of the Chevy Cobalt, identified as 21-year-old Enrique Loaiza of Sidney, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Miami Valley Hospital. Despite the efforts of emergency medical teams, Loaiza succumbed to his injuries later that day.
The driver and passenger of the Honda Pilot, whose identities have not been released, suffered injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not provided updates on their conditions but indicated the injuries were non-life-threatening.
