Clayton, MO – Authorities have arrested 36-year-old Emmanuel Suarez in connection with the kidnapping and fatal shooting of Michelle Hampton, 37, whose body was found in St. Louis City. Suarez faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, kidnapping, robbery, and unlawful possession of a firearm, following his arrest on Monday.
The investigation has revealed a shocking motive linked to Anjuan Mosby, the boyfriend of Michelle’s twin sister, Samantha Hampton. According to court documents, Mosby, 43, learned Michelle had received a $40,000 settlement meant for their brother. Police believe this prompted him to orchestrate the crime.
Michelle was abducted at gunpoint from her Clayton home and forced to drive to several ATMs to withdraw money. Samantha, who witnessed the kidnapping, chased the vehicle but abandoned the pursuit after Mosby reportedly fired a shot at her car while her children were inside. She later told investigators she had informed Mosby about Michelle’s settlement, noting his unusual interest in the funds.
Mosby confessed to being in the passenger seat of the yellow Dodge Ram used in the abduction.
