Ruston police have issued a warrant for the arrest of 23-year-old Zyheim T. Butcher in connection with an Easter Sunday shooting that claimed the life of a Ruston man and injured four bystanders.
Butcher, from Bastrop, is charged with one count of second-degree murder, four counts of attempted second-degree murder, one count of a felon in possession of a firearm, and one count of manufacture or possession of a machine gun.

Butcher is charged with killing 30-year-old Deontrell Marquis Hunter, of Ruston, in an incident that occurred around 10 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Y2 Kuts barbershop, located at 302 South Farmerville St.
