BRONX, NY — A 60-year-old man, identified by friends as Dwight Downer, tragically lost his life early Saturday morning after being struck by a car in a chaotic crash at the intersection of Eastchester and Givan roads. Authorities reported that the incident occurred shortly after midnight when Downer exited his parked vehicle.
According to witnesses, a tow truck reportedly ran a red light at Givan Avenue, colliding with a white BMW sedan.
