
ST. LOUIS, MO – A fatal shooting in downtown St. Louis on Tuesday evening left one man dead and another injured, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD).
The shooting occurred just before 7 p.m. at U-Haul Self Storage & Moving of Downtown St. Louis, located in the 400 block of South Tucker Boulevard.
Upon arrival, District 4 officers found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
One male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second victim was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The condition of the injured individual has not been disclosed at this time.
The area surrounding the scene was immediately secured with crime scene tape as homicide detectives launched their investigation.
Authorities are currently gathering evidence, reviewing surveillance footage, and speaking with witnesses to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
Family members of the deceased victim arrived at the scene, though police have not yet released the identities of the victims or any details regarding a potential suspect.
At this time, it remains unclear whether any arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
