WEST MONROE, LA — Louisiana State Police Troop F is investigating a tragic pedestrian crash that claimed the life of 78-year-old Carolyn Hudson of West Monroe on Tuesday evening, December 17, 2024. The incident occurred just before 7:00 p.m. on Louisiana Highway 34 near East Bawcom Street.
According to authorities, Hudson was crossing the westbound lane of the highway when she was struck by a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. The vehicle was traveling westbound on Highway 34 at the time.
