
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A 26-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a fatal industrial accident that occurred in Falls Township early Monday morning. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
The victim has been identified as Bryan Mena of Bristol Borough, Pennsylvania, according to Bucks County Coroner Patti Campi. Mena was pronounced dead at the scene after the accident occurred at the Kinder Morgan facility on South Port Road in Morrisville.
The Falls Township Police Department was dispatched to the scene at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Monday to investigate the incident. Police reported that Mena sustained fatal injuries after being struck by a digging bucket that was involved in the process of excavating sugar from the hull of a docked ship.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Mena was employed by Kinder Morgan at the time of the accident. According to officials, the fatal injuries occurred as part of the industrial operation, though the full circumstances remain under investigation.
