
A fatal crash in Hancock County, Ohio, on the evening of November 22, 2024, claimed the lives of Brian K. Post, 54, and his wife, Sonja R. Dodds-Post, 60. According to authorities, the collision happened at approximately 5:25 p.m. Brian Post was driving a 2025 Honda Odyssey northbound on Township Road 190. As he entered the intersection, his vehicle was struck by a 2018 Ford F-150 traveling eastbound on State Route 15. Kadir, the driver of the Ford, collided with the Odyssey in what investigators described as a high-impact crash.
The force of the collision caused catastrophic damage to both vehicles. Brian Post was pronounced dead at the scene and later transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital. His wife, Sonja, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, was rushed to the same hospital but succumbed to her injuries shortly after. Kadir sustained minor injuries and received treatment from HANCO EMS at the scene.
Officials confirmed that all individuals involved in the crash were wearing seat belts. Despite this, the severity of the crash proved fatal for the Posts. The accident caused State Route 15 to be closed for approximately two and a half hours while emergency personnel attended to the scene and cleared the roadway.
Multiple agencies assisted in the response, including the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Vanlue Fire Department, HANCO EMS, Life Flight, and B.G. Towing. The quick coordination among these responders ensured a prompt investigation and recovery process.
