
A 25-year-old Wichita woman has been arrested in connection with the tragic shooting death of 7-year-old Davion Gunter, according to Sedgwick County booking records.
Tasha Diane Dillard was taken into custody and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on charges of:
First-degree felony murder
Aggravated child endangerment

The shooting occurred in the early hours of Sunday, March 17, at approximately 12:30 a.m., in the 3700 block of East Ross Parkway, according to the Wichita Police Department (WPD).
Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting and arrived to find a seven-year-old child suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Paramedics rushed the child to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities also confirmed that Davion had previously survived a shooting at age three, when he was shot by his uncle.
At the time of Sunday’s shooting, multiple adults and seven other children were inside the residence, Captain Aron Moses of WPD stated.
All children present were removed from the home and placed into protective custody.
Police have not yet disclosed who fired the fatal shot or what circumstances led to the shooting.
The Wichita Police Department continues to investigate and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
