Authorities have identified the victim as 20-year-old Evan Neal of Crisfield, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident unfolded around 4:43 p.m. when officers from the Crisfield Police Department responded to a call about a shooting in the 200 block of the Somers Cove neighborhood. When officers arrived, they found Neal outside an apartment complex, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite emergency efforts, Neal did not survive his injuries.
Investigators have now issued an arrest warrant for 28-year-old Tyren Lee Ivey, also from the Crisfield area, in connection to Neal’s death. Ivey faces charges including first-degree murder and other related offenses.
